Introducing AImagine for 3ds Max – First Public Release!
We’re excited to announce the first official release of AImagine, our new AI-powered extension for Autodesk® 3ds Max®. After months of development and testing, AImagine is now available for download through our AvizStudioTools – AIO application.
AImagine brings modern image generation workflows directly into your 3D pipeline. With just a prompt and a click, you can explore visual ideas, enhance renders, and generate creative variations — all without waiting for long render times.
What Is AImagine?
AImagine integrates today’s latest AI image generation models into your 3ds Max workflow. It lets you:
✔ Generate new versions of your scenes from viewport screenshots or existing renders
✔ Improve lighting, materials, and details using AI prompts
✔ Test different moods, time-of-day setups, seasons, and styles
✔ Replace or stylize elements using reference images
✔ Compare results side by side using a dual-image layout
✔ Upscale and enhance output for presentations or client feedback
Whether you’re preparing design options for a client or building a more diverse portfolio, AImagine helps you work faster and more creatively.
Local + Cloud AI Support
AImagine supports both cloud APIs and local models:
Cloud APIs
Connect to services like:
- Google AI Studio (Gemini)
- Replicate
- MyArchitectAI
- Stability AI
- FreePeak
…and more.
Cloud models run quickly and require your own API key and (depending on provider) usage credits or subscriptions.
Local (Offline) Models
Prefer offline processing?
AImagine works with ComfyUI and custom workflows you can download from our website.
These run on your own hardware — no internet required.
Custom API Profiles
AImagine gives you full control over:
- Prompt defaults
- Output paths
- Aspect ratios
- Steps / sampling settings
…and more.
You can also set User 1 / User 2 quick slots for instant generation using gesture shortcuts.
Gesture-Driven Interface
AImagine includes optional mouse gestures for fast navigation:
- Load viewport or render into left/right panel
- Open images directly in 3ds Max
- Generate images with selected or user quick APIs
- Access configuration dialog
As you drag, a text label appears inside the image to confirm what action you’re about to perform.
Once you get used to them — you’ll hardly touch the menus.
Dual Image Workflow
The interface displays Left and Right images so you can:
- Compare before/after versions
- Test multiple models
- Evaluate upscales vs originals
- Study styling differences
This is extremely useful when exploring multiple design directions.
Model Information & Licensing
Each local model includes an Info tab with:
- License details
- Usage restrictions
- Notes from the original source
Please make sure to review these before using generated images commercially.
Paid cloud APIs usually include commercial rights — but always double-check.
Download & Installation
AImagine requires:
- Autodesk® 3ds Max® 2021 or newer
- Windows® 10 or later
You can download AImagine through our:
A 15-day trial is included so you can explore everything before subscribing.
